I am sure it is some kind of oiler, but want to make sure it is adjusted properly after a quicky rebuild. It receives exhaust pulses and appears to push on a rod mounted @ the end of the crank shaft, can anyone tell me what the purpose of this is and the proper way to adjust it? I have a 5 horse 125 gallon horizontal compressor with a Kellogg American pump / model # 335TV, question is as follows, there is a small brass fitting in front of the pump (crankshaft centerline) that connects to the secondary (exhaust) side of the the pump.
