Hi, i've just bought a brand new Gibson Es-335 Warren Haynes from the official italian dealer. The guitar is amazing, sounds great, but i've noticed that it has the serial number only on the sticker inside the 'f' hole, and the one on the back of the headstock is missing. From many pictures on the internet(worldguitars.co.uk, sweetwater, wildwood) i can see that the other 335 Warren Haynes have the serial number 'handwritten' on the back of the headstock.
I've just received an email from Gibson, in which they confirm that the guitar is legit and that i should have the serial number 'handwritten', and now they are asking me to ship back the guitar to their facilities in The Netherlands to have it done. To me it seems only a risk to have the guitar shipped back and forth just to have someone to handwrite xxx/500 on it, but i'd like to have your opinion about that. Will it lose value in case i decide to re-sell it in the future? Someone may think i changed the neck and the guitar is not original? I have the email that confirms that the guitar is legit, so maybe this should be enough to prevent that?
Or should i ask for another Certificate of Authenticity? Or the fact that Gibson made a mistake, make this guitar a little more special?

I'm not a collector, i buy guitars to play them, beat them up, enjoy every sweet moment they can give you, but again i don't want to make a mistake that can cost me money. What's the reason for limited or Signature series if then they are missing something that attest that they are really limited or special or custom production? So, what do you think? The serial number is included on the guitar, just not on the headstock. So it really is a one off that got out without them doing the headstock.
